BlackStar ROM is a project of
TeamBlackStar and PocketDevTeam
Group on facebook .. It is made by williams gill villanueva a member of one of the best teams of Galaxy Young GT-S5360 and a few good
devs of Galaxy Pocket .. Hope you enjoy whats inside this beautiful , stable , and fast rom ..
FEATURES:
As we said above, This rom is cooked from a Stock Deodexed Samsung Galaxy Pocket Apks and Files. I think that can be acknowledge as one of the reason why this rom is ahead of others ,
Also this rom will save much of your time flashing because of its capability of being "Pre-rooted and Pre-Deodexed"
*You can also pick from 5 skins of
messaging we activated for the Mms.apk .
*6Lockscreen of Lidroid was added too!!
*Together with Crystal Lockscreen
modifications so we are giving huge
credits to its creator.
*Default lockscreen of Samsung .. Modified to make it like IC Lockscreen
*I also modified a copy of XPERIA
Launcher to make it BSLauncher its a very smooth launcher .. Credits goes to its creator
*We also added SGS2 iconpacks as its built-in Iconpacks.
*Flashlight Is also Working on this rom ..
*No false Images .. All images that can be touched is as responsive as human.

(Extract it and you will get Launcher.apk inside the zip and push it on the system via rootexplorer then delete the Touchwiz30Launcher.apk)
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
LET's SAY YOU ARE FROM FRESH
REFLASHED FIRMWARE(fresh stock rom)
*Download and place blackstar v1.0.0.zip in the root of your sdcard
*Boot to cwm recovery
*Select install update from sdcard
*Select choose update from sdcard
*Find Flash Blackstar v1.0 .0.zip
*Wait untill installation completes
*Wipe data and cache thenreboot and enjoy.

ReplyDeletehmmm... If u don like the inbuilt bootanimation then there is a no prob as u can easily pick/copy the bootanimation.zip file from any custom rom u like and copy that zip file to System/Media Folder with the help of any root-file-explorer.

yes,i can't install update for maps,youtube,etc (installing apks)..it is locked?
ReplyDelete@ Gibz Sullivan.This is a bug.try this steps.Go to settings ,applications,manage application,now chose the app you want to update by tapping on it.you should see update there press and wait for it to update.

DeleteIts a bug in the rom itself.
Being an admin u need to report this to developer on the behalf of complainants here. And then finally publishing here the solution/update.

ReplyDeleteM not sure but most probably it will support XXLJ4 also. Many people have successfully flashed it over DDLI1 also (Me too). Go ahead and plz revert again as ur valuable feedback will help many more who love this nice blog.

ReplyDeleteThere shouldn't be any issue as long as u follow the proper procedure to flash the fresh custom rom. But its always advisable to have the Nandroid backup in hand.

DeleteI'm on dillema now if I will go for it or not. Cause it seems that no one have the same firmware as me (XXLJ4). It's always XXLF5. I'm planning to have a backup first. Is CWM back-up perfectly works now? I wanna kno if I can back up my firmware and if I can flash it again manually. without odin
ReplyDeleteyaa offcourse CWM works fine and u can restore stock again w/o odin via CWM.
DeleteI backed up my firmware bro. Sorry I'm just a noob. But i'm really willing to learn new things. In the procedure of flashing custom rom there's that 'wipe data and cache' does that also means my back up (from CWM) will be wipe also? So i have to back up it on external sdcard?
ReplyDeleteNo problem man,everyone,was once a noob.Wiping cache alone only clears cached infomation but wiping data,only clears all user data like installed apps.but your media files still remains even your cwm backup still remains intact.

DeleteThe only bug i see is when before and after using the keypad the home wallpaper always appear for about a second. Other than that it's way better from stock. About maps and youtube etc. (updates) it won't work if you update it on playstore. The solution is so easy, just download the latest apk's in other stores but don't install it. Then go to root explorer system/app then delete the app (youtube,map,etc) then replace/move your downloaded apk there. Maps, playstore,youtube works perfectly now in mine :)

ReplyDeleteFinally i have installed a custom rom(blackstar v1) in my sgp for first time..
It was really terrible experience....cuz i forgot to wipe data and cache after installing rom....and clicked on reboot now...
So i imediately pulled out battery...when on black screen "gt s5300"....and then wipe data and cache...and then reboot....and then new bootanimation appear and after that phone stucked on black screen for 4-5minute but finally i see my new homescreen

ReplyDeleteHi, I'm currently using your ROM and it's totally cool but one more thing, there is a problem about the google apps on this ROM. I cannot use Google+ and GMap. It somehow needs the Google Play Services app but whenever I restore that app using Ti backup, it does not restore. And when I open the Google+ app, it just shows up a white screen. I think Google Play Services is the real one missing so that Google apps are not working properly, please fix this. Thank you so much.
