This rom is a port by teztaz--v3 of xda from whitexp's CM for galaxy y.although this is still a work in progress but, there are many people who would like to try this out.For original thread on xda check Here
HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Go to CWM Recovery
2. Wipe Data & Cache
3. Enter Mounts & Storage
4. Format System (IMPORTANT)
5. Mount System
6. Go back, select Install ZIP From SD Card
7. Choose Cyanogem MOD 9 and choose Yes
8. Wait until it finished.
9. After back to CWM Recovery, Reboot the system.
Bugs:
* Wifi
* Bluetooth
* Camera
* SD Card
* Boot Animation
* Sensor
* EGL Driver (Hardware Acceleration)
* Network

DeleteAdmin I've downloaded games with 200mb data and 500mb u mean that es file will extract them I've tried androzip, will es file extract them same as pc or are there other apps that can do that.
ReplyDeleteEs file xplorer will extract many zip file, try it you will like it. Just long hold the file you want to extract a pop up will come up with list of option to choose from, just select the exract button and you are done.

DeleteYes i can boot to both, when i boot inrecovery mode and select "apply update from sdcard" ,it shows unable to mount sdcard..
DeleteIn downloading mode i have tried several times to install firmware through Odin but during flash Odin sucks either at boot.img or setup connection...
If u can do something then kindly provide me a link or guide me how to repair it..

A new starts for ics on sgp.of course its real ics 4.0.4 because i am able to install some 4.0+ apps such as holo launcher hd using aroma filemanager because sd card is not ditected.But after 2nd reboot holo launcher hd force close. Too many bugs such as gallery,blutooth,wifi and much more not working,Network not available so we can't use call ,sms ,internet even Egl driver is not present so no chance to play any games need a different and powerful driver like Cynogenmod' driver's.its really need to do hard work to fix this whole Rom. Thanks for this Great effort.

DeleteAdmin thanks for uploding this rom I hope it get fixed and thanks for the es file to extract large files it works I have a Q about the galaxy pocket plus does it support root or will it root and about the overclock why sometimes my sgp lags when overclocking what is the right governor and min , max for stable and about the swa file will they together work ect flash overclock otop of swap and how much my momery card will last using swap. Thanks admin. ☺

DeleteHey admin please help me . AFter I install the Cm9 When I restart my phone.. The Gt-S5300 appear then after that it turns black screen.. Im waiting but its still black screen, I removed my Battery and Put it again. I try to go in Recovery , When I press Power+volume up+home . ReplyDeletego help the dev to fix the bugs. y'all so demanding. he already excert so much effort to make it boot on sgp. so I suggest if y'all can't help to fix the bugs then shut up! the bugs are already listed above so theres no point in saying "i can't access this I can't access that". read first and understand it. all you can do now is to wait for the patch for all the bugs.

ReplyDeleteI wish that the developer can make this Rom a stable one. I'm currently using Pre-Nemesis 3.5 and it has also bugs. Can wait to flash this Rom if it found to be stable. More power to the developer...
ReplyDeleteCyanogen mod 9 is still in developing its written above. Some of you are complaining about bugs, before flashing did you read the mentioned bugs above. Don't complain about bugs you were not gun point to flash cm mod9. Wen you flash roms read the information.

ReplyDeleteHey bro....that rom has many bugs...it can't access the internal storage that's normally 2.19 GB. Try porting some stuff from both galaxy y roms and galazy pocket roms......goodwork though

ReplyDeletei suggest you go to download mode (volume down+home+power simultaneously) then flash any custom rom through odin flasher. just read and use your brain wisely. dont panic. it should work.

the admin here have posted what bugs has in my rom.. so, why u dont read the bugs first ? and u all know.. pocket use GB based, but CM9 used ICS based, did it easier to fix?

btw, i recommend to install my rom using a kernel non cwm permanent. like hell lock #7 from my last CM7.

DeleteJust download and paste it on your sdcard. Then off you phone.. Volume up + power and home key clear data wipe cache and apply update cchose the download rom and wait until finish.. Done goodluck
